Fairy Feet Dance Club classes are an enchanting and engaging dance experience for young children. They are separated into three different groups so that the key areas of development for each age group can be focused on:
Toddler Tinkerbell Classes
This 30 minute class is designed for Toddlers aged 18 months – 3 years old.
Adult participation is required with the toddler’s ‘Special Grown-Up’ to assist them during class (but don’t worry – no dance experience is needed!). Children at this age learn through mimicking adult behaviour and benefit from repetitive, predictable activities. This is a beautiful way to spend some quality one-on-one time with your child (or grandchild!) and watch them grow and flourish as the world of dance teaches them self awareness, self confidence and helps them reach important developmental milestones.
If your child is in the younger age bracket of class – don’t be concerned if they are not able to do all of the class activities. The purpose of joining them into class from a young age (aside from allowing them to explore their love of dance) is to get them comfortable being in a class environment and listening and responding to simple directions from a teacher.
Please note it is strictly x1 Adult/student in attendance in class (spectators not permitted in the studio for Toddler sessions)

Preschool Pixie Classes (Little Pixies: 3-4 year olds and Big Pixies: 4-5 year olds)
These 45 minute classes are designed for preschool/kindergarten children aged 3-5 years old.
This is such an integral age of a child’s development and the benefits of dance for young children has been widely researched and documented. Read about the benefits of dance for young children here
Each Term we explore a new “theme” with a range of dance activities enhanced by the use of props, instruments and music. Some of the exciting themes we explore are: “In the Fairy Garden”, “Princesses” and “Under the Sea”.
Parents/Guardians are warmly welcome to watch the class, but as a courtesy to the students, teacher and the class environment we ask that all parents (and any younger siblings) remain QUIETLY SEATED in the studio. Due to limited seating space in the studio – strictly 1 Adult/child permitted in class and siblings to be left in alternate care where possible

Junior School Sugar Plums: Preps-Grade 1
An exciting continuation for those moving up from the preschool classes or a wonderful introduction to the world of dance for new students. These 50 minute classes further explore the dance elements of poise, rhythm and movement with a heavier focus on learning choreographed dance routines .
School Sugar Plum students perform at the End Of Year Concert.
Junior School Sugar Plums MUST be enrolled at primary school to be eligible for this class.
NB: For the benefit of the students concentration and learning – parents are not permitted in the class room during lesson time. You are welcome to wait in the Waiting Room for the duration of class time, but if you choose to leave please ensure that you return to the studio PRIOR to the completion of class to collect your child.

From Junior School Sugar Plum level – students then move the following year into our ‘Golden Graduates’ class – where they officially “graduate” as Fairy Feet dancers at the End of Year Concert. Following their Graduation they then have the option of signing up to the Senior School division with a more structured ‘Combo Class’ of 3 distinct genres – Tap, Ballet & Jazz.
